Komodo & Flores tour 10 days & 9 nights
Day 1: Jakarta/Bali – Labuan Bajo – Kelor Island – Manjarite Island – Kalong Island
Arriving at Komodo international airport, our guide will welcome you, and immediately transfer you directly to the harbour to get a boat (Phinisi) to visit Komodo National Park. On the boat you will greet by the boat’s crew along with your guide. The first place you will visit is Kelor Island, In Kelor Island you will do snorkelling activities to see the beauty of the marine park (fish and coral reefs), as well as snorkelling on the white sand beach, and also do soft trekking activities, to see the view. beautiful beaches and island chains from the height of Kelor Island. Right after living from Kelor, you will proceed to Manjarite island, in Manjarite island you will do snorkelling activities observing the beauty of the marine park. After that, sailing to Kalong Island, In Kalong Island you will see groups of bats (flying fox), while enjoying the sunset from the boat. You will stay overnight and have dinner on the boat at Kalong Island.
Day 2: Kalong Island – Padar Island – Pink Beach – Komodo Island – Manta Point – Taka Makasar
Early morning around 04.00 am, your boat will sailing from Kalong Island to Padar Island. In Padar Island, you will do medium trekking for around 30 minutes to the top of Padar. In the top, you will enjoy extraordinary views, three straits of white and pink sand beaches that surround Padar Island. After visiting Padar Island, your sailing continues to Komodo Island. Komodo Island is the natural habitat of the Komodo dragon and other wild animals. In Komodo Island you will do trekking activities into the forest and savannah to see Komodo dragons and other wild animals, such as deer, buffalo, cows, horses, wild boars, snakes and various types of birds. After leaving from Komodo Island, you will continue your sailing to Taka Makasar, you will enjoy the white sand beach and snorkelling there. After that, continue to Manta Point, in Manta Point you will do snorkelling activities to see the most unique sea views of Manta Ray, you will swim with Manta Rey there. After that, return to the boat. You will spend the night at Manta Point or surrounding area on the boat, and having dinner there.
Day 3: Manta Point – Kanawa Island – Labuan Bajo – Rangko Cave
In the morning you will enjoy the sunrise on the boat while having coffee and breakfast. Your boat will sail to Kanawa Island, your last destination in Komodo National Park. In Kanawa Island, you will do snorkelling activities to observe marine life which will spoil your eyes, and relax on the white sand beach. Kanawa Island is very suitable for those of you who are learning to snorkel, because the currents are not too strong. After that, return back to Labuan Bajo. In Labuan Bajo you will pick up by car to go to the north of Labuan Bajo to Rangko cave, with the travel time of 40 minutes from Labuan Bajo, you will enjoy the landscape along the coast. In Rangko you will do swimming activities in a natural pool inside the cave, the view of the pool water is very clear and clean with the cave walls containing crystal-like stalagtails and stalagmites. Then back to the hotel for accommodation and dinner.
Day 4: Labuan Bajo – Todo Village – Cancar – Ruteng Town – Surrondings
In the morning after breakfast, your guide will pick you up at the hotel. You will travel along the island of Flores to Ruteng (The central Manggarai regency) by car. You will enjoy the tropical rainforests of Flores with long rows of mountains and hillsides and valleys, as well as the activities of local communities. An adrenaline-challenging trip, because the road conditions are winding and going up and down mountains. You will see the largest and widest rice fields on the island of Flores, called “Lembor Rice Fields”. The first place you will visit before arriving in Ruteng is the Todo traditional village. This village is very famous in Flores, because of its history and legendary stories. Todo Village was a kingdom that controlled Manggarai in ancient times before independence. You will see a series of Manggarai traditional house architecture that still maintains its originality, which is round and conical like a primada, and you can also see a drum made from women’s skin called “Loke Ngerang”. After visiting the Todo traditional village, you will drive to the next destination to Cancar village, in Cancar village you will see vast rice fields designed exactly like a spider’s-web from a elevations. This spider web philosophy is closely related to the cone-shaped design of Todo traditional houses. After enjoying the view of the spider-web rice fields. You drive straight to Ruteng for accommodation and dinner.
Day 5: Ruteng – Bena village – Bajawa
After breakfast in the hotel, you will continue drive to the east of the island of Flores to Bajawa (Ngada district). You will enjoy views of mountains and dense forests and beautiful landscapes. You will stop by to see the lake called “Rana Mese” one of the second largest lakes in Flores which is located right in the middle of the tropical rain forest of Flores. After that, continue the journey to Borong (east Manggarai regency). Drive to Maumere, and a few stops at the place where the traditional Florenese drink is made called “Arak” which is made from palm trees, and processed traditionally. After that, you will proceed to drive to the prototype of an ancient Bena traditional village, you will see the splendor of the original ancient buildings in large numbers occupied by Bena residents. You can also see the way of locals which are unique and the houses and traditional ceremonies. And proceed to Bajawa for dinner & overnight.
Day 6: Bajawa – Soa – Riung
In the morning after breakfast, you will continue your journey to discover Flores towards the east in Riung. You will stop at Soa, to swim and enjoy Soa’s hot water, with a high sulfur content to treat your tiredness from traveling the previous few days. If you have a skin disease, this is the best opportunity for you to treat it, because sulfur can treat skin pain or infections. After the Soa hot springs, you continue to drive towards Riung, with its natural Flores landscape of savanna and forest and mountains. Your accommodation and dinner in Riung.
Day 7: Full Day Tour to Riung Marine Park
In the morning after breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to the harbour to get a small wooden boat to Riung mrine park of seventeen islands. You will see small and large groups of islands. They are like: Pau Island, Borong, Besar, Halima, Patta, Rutong, Meja, Tembaga, Taor, Sui, Tire, Pau, Besar, Lainjawa, Kolong, and to other islands. You will explore the small islands by boat. The activities you can do there are soft trekking, snorkeling, and swimming in a very clean and beautiful beaches and relaxing on white sand beaches. After that, in the afternoon you will back to Riung for accommodation and dinner.
Day 8: Riung – Ende – Moni
In the morning after breakfast, you will drive to Ende (Ende regency). You will pass through one named regency (Nagekeo regency), you will enjoy beautiful views on the way such as mountains and savannah as well as local community activities. Walking along the coast for dozens of kilometers enjoying views of the ocean and beautiful, a very clean coastline, you will take the brakes for the same stop to the beautiful spot chosen at Panga – Panda beach or Blue – Stone beach. After that, you will immediately drive to Moni, the closest place to trekking to Kelimutu National Park. You will stay overnight and having dinner there in Moni.
Day 9: Moni – Kelimutu Lake – Maumere
In the morning you will leave early trekking to Kelimutu National Park. You will drive by car to the first post before trekking zone. Trekking about half an hour you can see colorful lake Kelimutu as one of Indonesians most mysterious and dramatic sights which you might find on the top up of Kelimutu. The unique and spectacular on its three crater lakes with their respective colors which have mystical stories with the local residents there in Kelimutu. After spending time at the top on the mountain of Kelimutu, you will heading down and directly to Moni. After that, drive directly to Maumere (Sika Regency). In Mamere you will visit the Ledalero museum to see ethnological objects from the region (Ledalero name of the catholic seminary which forms the Florinese Priest. You will find out the historical origins of the entry and spread of Catholicism on the island of Flores.
Day 10: City Tour or Hotel – airport (Transfer-Out)
In the last day, you will visit several spiritual sites and have a city tour (depending on your departure time (flights back) to Bali/Jakarta.
