Komodo Tour 7 days & 6 nights
Day 1: Jakarta/Bali – Labuan Bajo – Denge
Arriving at Komodo Labuan Bajo airport, you will meet by a representative Prime Flores Tour. After that, you immediately drive to Denge Village to discover the traditional village or Wae Rebo which is nicknamed the village above the clouds. Throughout the journey you will be presented with views of the tropical rainforests of Flores, mountains, savannah, and the topography of the Flores area, making your tour adrenaline-challenging because you will encounter ups and downs of mountains and sharp turns along the way/Flores highway. You will enjoy the largest expanse of rice fields in Flores called “Sawah Lembor”. A tour along the coast will hypnotize your eyes with the beauty of the island of Flores. Until arriving at Dengge village, the last village before the trekking zone to the Wae Rebo forest. In Denge, you will make a reservation at one of the homestays located in the middle of the rice fields for an overnight stay and dinner. You will enjoy the village atmosphere and enjoy the view of one of the beautiful islands called “Nuca Molas”. Walking through the village of Denge and the fishing village of Dintor is a new experience for you to find out more about the people of Flores, before going to bed at night.
Day 2: Denge – Wae Rebo
After breakfast at the homestay, you will take to post one using local transportation (ojek), to start trekking through the Wae Rebo forest. You will be trekking into a dense forest, there are many unique things that you will encounter along the trekking route which is around 4 km from Denge village. Until the last kilometres, you will meet village community who are busy farming. Arriving at the Wae Rebo traditional village, you will be presented with an extraordinary view. A village located at the top of a mountain in the middle of a wilderness surrounded by mountains. You will be welcomed by both customs with a local welcoming ceremony called “Kapu cai/Tiba Meka”. After that you will relax and joke around and share with locals, this is a moment/opportunity for you to become a villager, and how to be close and live with local residents (Florence). Taking photos is certainly something you need when you step there. There is no signal access there, so you completely return to nature. You will stay overnight and have dinner at traditional Wae Rebo.
Day 3: Wae Rebo – Dengge – Todo – Ruteng
In the morning you will be awakened by a natural alarm, namely “cock crowing” a sign that morning has arrived. While enjoying coffee, you will enjoy the fresh air and village atmosphere which really cures your fatigue for years, it feels like Wae Rebo is the cure for everything. While the sun rises and the birds sing, and the cock crows, it is an extraordinary pleasure for you. After that you will be served breakfast, then trek back to Dengge to get a car, and continue to Todo traditional village. You will enjoy a beautiful natural panorama along the road to Todo village. In Todo village, you will see the splendor of the Manggarai Kingdom with a very unique architectural form of building. Todo is a kingdom that ruled the entire Manggarai region before independence, which contains various unique stories about the dynamics of life in the era of the former kingdom. After visiting Todo village, you will continue drive towards Ruteng, a small town surrounded by mountains. You will stop at a rice field shaped like a spider’s web, which has a very intimate relationship with the history of the traditional cone-shaped house. Then continue to Ruteng for dinner and accommodation.
Day 5: Ruteng Hobbit Cave – Labuan Bajo
In the morning, you will drive to one of the historic caves called Hobbit Cave while enjoying the morning atmosphere of Ruteng city. You will see a panorama of natural caves inhabited by pre-historic humans in ancient times, which were the forerunners of humans occupying the island of Flores. You will see the bones from pre-historic humans with a height of 106 cm. after that, drive long back to Labuan Bajo, with natural views of the Flores mountains.
Day 6: Padar Island – Komodo Island – Pink Beach – Taka Makasar – Manta Point – Kanawa Island
In the morning after breakfast at the hotel, you will pick up by your guide and transfer to the harbour for a trip through Komodo National Park. You will head to Padar Island, your first destination, which is very famous for its beautiful views. On Padar Island, you will do medium trekking to the top of Padar for 30 minutes. From the elevation of Padar Island, you will enjoy views of three straits and 4 white sand beaches that line the island as well as views of small islands, which really hypnotize your eyes. Right after leaving from Padar Island, you will head to Komodo Island, where the original Komodo dragon variant lives. There you will trek into the forest and savannah hills to see the natural habitat of wild Komodo dragons, as well as other wild animals such as deer, buffalo, cows, horses, monkeys and other wild animals that form the food chain ecosystem on Komodo Island. Right after living from Komodo Island, you will proceed to Pink Beach, a beach which is famous for its pink or red sand and water. There you will do snorkelling activities to enjoy views of the marine park such as coral reefs and fish, as well as relaxing on the beach. After that, sailing to Taka Makasar, there you will see views of white sand extending in the middle of the ocean. The activity you can do there apart from relaxing on the beach is snorkelling to see the underwater park. After that, head to Manta Point, which is most famous for Manta Rey. There you will do snorkelling activities, swim with Manta Rey and various types of fish, and you can see very unique coral reefs. After that, sail to Kanawa Island, which is very famous for its thousands of types of coral reefs. In Kanawa Island, you will enjoy extraordinary views of the marine park, as well as various types of fish swimming with you, you can also relax on the beach. After that heading back to Labuan Bajo for dinner and accommodation.
Day 7: Labuan Bajo – Flight Back
After breakfast and enjoying the morning view at the hotel, you will drive to the airport and fly to Bali/Jakarta. Tour finished.
